THE TRUE MEANING OF CHRISTMAS
In Bethleham the child was born to bring God's love to Earth.
And angels sang. The shepherds came to praise Him at His birth.
But when the child became a man, the praise soon ceased to be.
And with their hearts all filled with hate, men nailed Him to the tree.
"If you be God, come down," they cried, but no one understood.
His love for us demanded that He shed His precious blood.
Each Christmas when we give our gifts, and joy is everywhere;
I'll think of Christ upon the cross- "Twas love that hung Him there!"
THE FIRST BREAKFAST
The last supper signaled a time of spiritual fasting.
The bread of life would be broken, and the living water poured out.
For three days the souls of His followers grew starved and thirsty.
But in the early morning, on the sand and beside the sea, a fire burned and a voice called out:
"Come and have breakfast"
FOR HE HAD RISEN TO BREAK THE FAST!
